But who will be hurt the most economically if this happens is Canada. With many Americans feeling the flight for safe haven, they turn to Canada for everything, including currency. The world will buy US dollars for flight for safety, but Americans will buy not Euros or Pounds but mostly Canadian dollars. Canadian dollar will skyrocket with the wealthy arriving, and it will then hurt export as the dollar will become overly inflated beyond fundamentals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11141878.post-15055088105256645192009-03-14T20:41:00.000-07:002009-03-14T20:41:00.000-07:00The United States will probably renege on the debt...The United States will probably renege on the debt rather than pay off all of their debtors. But I also think that the US will pay back Western European countries back, while choosing to screw over Asian countries such as Japan and China.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11141878.post-52752854129080553862009-02-20T19:24:00.000-08:002009-02-20T19:24:00.000-08:00I wish there were a better term for it than renege...I wish there were a better term for it than renege. I always pay my debts (silly me) and have a strong aversion to the thought of reneging - but this isn't my debt and I don't want to see the country continuing to pay it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
